When this band was announced I asked Lane from Kaiba to go see them play their "secret set" and report back. Lane greenlit the band and I reached out asking Powerlines to sign to the label and play our showcase, making it their first official show. They had no recorded music and sent me videos of them playing at their practice space, and even with that it was infectious with how much energy they had and wanted to get these songs off their chests.
